Pit stop control
A pit countdown or a total stop time: pick one per race format. The result goes straight into the standings.

The box does the counting, to the thousandth
The pit lane panel is built from modules and it walks the driver through the stop: kart number, big countdown, the way out. The part that matters happens underneath. The system records the exact time in and the exact time out, then writes the difference straight into the race result. Same programmable LEDs as the start gantry.

This is a scene on screen, not a measurement of a run. At the track both timestamps come from the timing system, and the result goes straight into the standings. What is true on this site →
For the track
Team races with real strategy become possible. Between races the panels can double as trackside info screens, if the layout allows it.
For the driver
A race where the stop counts as much as the pace.
Where it stands
Running at the track: the pit countdown runs off timing and feeds straight into the race results.
